Helpful Organizations for Students
STAND: A Student Anti-Genocide Coalition
STAND is organizing on over 500 college, university, and high school campuses across the United States. They are working hard to increase awareness about the genocide, raise relief funds, and advocate for political action to end the genocide. Check out their regional conference schedule for more information about getting involved.
CALL TO ACTION: College Students Take Action For Darfur
The Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Committee on Conscience has created a site to help students engage in dialogue with one another about Darfur. The site includes educational resources to help understand the genocide in Sudan.
Resources for Teachers
Many educators are teaching their students about the current crisis in Darfur and the concept of crimes against humanity, with a focus on genocide.
