Wichita Collegiate School-Dollars for Darfur

With your help, we can make a difference for the people of Darfur. Each day in Darfur, hundreds of people are raped, starved and murdered by the Sudanese armed forces and a Sudanese government-backed militia known as the Janjaweed. At least 400,000 people have died and more than 2 million Darfurians have been left homeless. The United Nations Security Council authorized that peacekeepers be deployed to Darfur, but the Sudanese government has not yet allowed them entry. Meanwhile, the calculated campaign of displacement, starvation, rape, and mass slaughter continues.

Dollars for Darfur is a national school competition to raise funds to help end the genocide in Sudan. Collegiate is competing with other high schools across the country to show our concern about this issue. 

WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.  All funds raised will go directly to the Save Darfur Coalition, a non-profit charity.

Congratulations to Pro-Humanitate and the Upper School students at WCS on a successful fudraising campaign!  We must continue our efforts.
