“Change the World. It Just Takes Cents”TM: An international, national, and locally recognized Colorado Middle and High school experiential Darfur educational and social action initiative – student led and teacher mentored. The students intensively study the background, raise community awareness, motivate their peers towards appropriate action, fundraise by collecting loose change, and speak out representing the voice of the silenced children of Darfur. To date over $30,000 has been raised, students have coordinated two student led Forums attended by acclaimed national and local Humanitarian Aid representatives and activists, State and City officials and students representing 19 Colorado schools, addressed diverse audiences of all sizes, as well as created a Student Advisory Board focusing on world genocide!
