Domes for Darfur is a campaign to send between 100 and 250 yurt dome tent structures to the International Rescue Committee to be used in refugee camps for the victims of genocidal campaign of the Sudanese government. Not only will we be excepting direct donations but Sujaro African Art Gallery has graciously offered to donate 50% of every sale for that day to the Domes for Darfur project!

On May 31st, 2008 we will be holding a fund and awareness raising event at Sujaro African Art Gallery in Half Moon Bay, California. From a preview screening of the new documentary "They Turned Our Desert Into Fire" and Q&A with Director Mark Brecke, educational material on Personal Divestment, and key note speakers our day will be full of events to help educate and raise awareness about what everyday citizens can do to help.

In the evening we will tell you all about the Domes for Darfur project and you will be able to actually see what these incredible structures will look like as one will be set up at the event! And to thank everyone for coming out we will cap off the event with some music, food, and beverages.
