Nebraska Torch-Relay: Dream for Darfur (Olympic Dream for Darfur Event)
The Nebraska Torch Relay will be Sunday, October 28. We will need a lot of help and participation. Mark your calendars and tell your friends!
We will begin the Torch relay at Temple Israel (7023 Cass Street Omaha, NE 68132) at 9:30 a.m.
The Torch will be run to designated locations throughout Omaha until the final ceremony.
We will then have a concluding Torch Ceremony at 1 p.m. at Memorial Park (5651 Underwood Avenue Omaha, NE 68132)
If you are interested in volunteering at one of the 15 stations on the relay route or are interested in running a segment of the relay (1 mile segments), please contact Anna at annasully@yahoo.com

They feature a torch that started its journey in Chad, just across the border from Darfur, will continue to the sites of previous genocides, several cities in the US, and arrive at China's doorstep in December. |
