Nashville Torch Rally (Olympic Dream for Darfur Event)
Come join us as we bring the Olympic Dream for Darfur to Nashville. We begin with a March with the Torch at 1:30 PM at Olin Lawn on the Vanderbilt University campus, 25th Ave. S. at Garland Ave. The March will be followed by a rally at University School of Nashville, 2000 Edgehill Ave., 2:30-3:30 PM. Featured speaker: Big Kenny of the hit country music duo Big and Rich, speaking about his October experience in Sudan. This is your chance to help press China to take more action to end the genocide.

| Directions: | From West End Ave., turn onto 25th Ave. South. Borders Bookstore is on the right of 25th Ave. S. Continue several blocks to Garland. Olin Lawn is just past Garland;, on the left. (The large building set back from 25th Ave. S. on the left is Olin Engineering.) Parking is available on the streets in the area and in the 25th Ave. Garage (free) across the next street by the Lawn, entrance on 25th Ave. If you are not able to come to the march but can come to the rally at University School, 2000 Edgehill Ave., at 2:30 PM, you can get there by turning on to 21st Ave. S. from West End Ave. Continue to Edgehill, which intersects 21st at a traffic light one block past San Antonio Taco Co. and Brueggers Bagels. Turn onto Edgehill. University School is there on your left. Come to the main entrance. Parking is availabe in a lot behind the building, which you access by turning left on to 19th Ave. S. and then left into the lot. | ||

They feature a torch that started its journey in Chad, just across the border from Darfur, will continue to the sites of previous genocides, several cities in the US, and arrive at China's doorstep in December. |
