Seattle Torch Rally (Olympic Dream for Darfur Event)
Join Save Darfur WA State, Save Darfur Coalition, STAND, Dream for Darfur, local elected officials and many others for the Seattle leg of the Olympic Dream for Darfur Torch Rally. The relay began its journey in August, in Chad and is making its way around the globe. The Seattle stop is one of many throughout the United States. The goal of the relay is to urge China to use its influence with the government of Sudan and as a permanent member of the UN Security Council to allow a more robust security force on the ground in Darfur to protect civilians and humanitarian aid workers. Join with other concerned citizens in the Seattle community to help secure protection for the civilians in Darfur and help end this genocide.
