Central Oregon Dream for Darfur (Olympic Dream for Darfur Event)
A Central Oregon event to bring media attention and awareness to the genocide in Sudan.

Troy Field in Downtown Bend, OR (corner of Bond St. and Louisiana Ave.)

Camp Darfur and information tables will start at 1 pm. Music, speeches, activities and torch relay from 2pm to 5 pm.

There will be Camp Darfur (an interactive simulation refugee camp), local music and drumming, speeches, local art depicting "Our Dream for Darfur," activities for kids and family--with a chance to send a personal message to Darfurian refugees, and a ceremonial torch relay!

: Olympic Dream for Darfur official events in the US are organized by the Save Darfur Coalition, STAND, and the Dream for Darfur. They feature a torch that started its journey in Chad, just across the border from Darfur, will continue to the sites of previous genocides, several cities in the US, and arrive at China's doorstep in December.
