Divest your Company, Organization, School or Union

To divest your company, school or union takes several steps. In all these steps, we recommend the targeted divestment model of the Sudan Divestment Task Force.

  1. Research your organization’s holdings. Find out where your organization has its funds (from your financial manager) and investigate them with SDTF's screening tool. For more information about actions to take to divest your company's 401k plan, please download this sample action plan from Fidelity Out of Sudan.
     
  2. Develop and pass a divestment resolution. Even if your organization currently has no Sudan related divestments, you should still pass a resolution to prevent problem investments in the future. Email info@sudandivestment.org with your organizational type and they will send you a sample resolution.

  3. After you pass the resolution, let others know through your email list and the media. Issue a press release, let your members know, encourage other organizations to do the same!
