Investment Firms that have Divested

Want to make sure your investments are not funding genocide in Darfur?

The following companies have no direct investments in PetroChina or CNPC, its parent company, and have formal divestment policies. Most follow the targeted divestment model developed by the Sudan Divestment Task Force.

While we do encourage you to remember Darfur when making decisions about your investments, the Save Darfur Coalition does not give investment advice, and the inclusion of a company here does not constitute an endorsement of its investment strategy.

Notes and sources of data

The targeted divestment model encourages engagement with and then divestment from companies that help fund the Sudanese government’s actions in Darfur. Companies such as medical, agricultural, and humanitarian organizations are exempt from divestment if they provide significant benefit to the people of Sudan.
