Parents for Peace
We believe that looking into the eyes of the people in Darfur is the same as looking into the eyes of our own children, our family, our friends, our co-workers and that we cannot stand by idly to watch them die without doing anything, something to help...just as my son's heart beats, there is a child in Darfur whose heart is struggling to beat...s/he deserves a chance to live...let's not stand by and be helpless, let's take action to help...their lives are in the palm of our hands...

To whom it may concern:

In response to the "Holy Hip Hop Responds To The Need In Darfur" movement Much Luvv Records would like to issue this challenge to all Holy Hip Hop, Christian Rap, Gospel and other Christian Artist.

The challenge is that from Now til March 15th Much Luvv is challenging the Holy Hip Hop movement to step up to the plate and act on the behalf of those who have been raped, murdered and displaced in this horrible humanitarian crisis and genocide Darfur.

Will you join the cause and step up to the plate to help those in need half way around the world when the international community hasn't stepped in to help the over 400,000 murdered and over 2.1 million displaced.

Tre-9 the founder and CEO of Much Luvv Records and the National Holy Hip Hop Awards has committed to giving "10% of our cd sales for the next 2 months towards the cause," and would like to challenge other artist, labels, industry executives and concerned individuals to do the same; to spend time praying and fasting for the cause in Darfur and to sow a seed toward their freedom.

You can mail the money to Much Luvv Records, Inc. 4930 Dacoma Suite C Houston, TX 77092 (Make Sure in the memo section you put for the Darfur Now movement) before April 15th and we will put them on a press release on our website that will give your movement some needed exposure. And help further the cause of those lives and countries being destroyed by genocide.

Tre-9 says, "It is a good thing to do, for such an awful disgrace to humanity."

Part 3: Get Involved - More info about Holy Hip Hop Responds To The Need In Darfur

We are seeking Holy Hip Hop artists, Christian Rappers, Rhythm & Praise, Gospel and other artists coming together to support the social cause and seek social justice to those affected by the Darfur conflict. Putting our feat into action and money where our mouths are to reach those hurt and ravaged by great tragedy.

James 2:14-26 says, "14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe--and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."

As many as 400,000 people have been killed in Darfur. Another 2.5 million have been driven from their homes and into danger. The threat of rape, torture, murder and starvation pursue the women, men and children of Darfur wherever they flee.

This is most definitely a cause worth fighting for.

Isaiah1:15 When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide my eyes from you; even if you offer many prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood; 16 wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight! Stop doing wrong, 17 learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.

James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Please prayerful consider becoming involved. Pray for the people of Darfur or if you can give or call upon your senators and leaders to Divest In Darfur.

It's something that anyone who really cares about social justice the loss of life should get involved with. Its something I believe in. We should, "Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow, to look after orphans and widows in their distress." 400,000 people have been killed in Darfur and another 2.5 million displaced that is a human tragedy.

Holy Hip Hop and other artists lets rise up to the times and do something for those who need our help. Lets show love and help those who are in need. Lets not just debate bible issues and enjoy our comfortable life. Lets help and fight for the cause of the oppressed and hurting.

Respond to the need in Darfur.

This innovative project hopes to help bring an end to the atrocities of the genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan. Students are trying to raise awareness by presenting the project to the general public, the government, and the media. This project is completely student driven, run by student volunteers. Please participate, and help spread the word about this project.

"We, Elm Place Middle School students, have created a project called "Reach for Change." The purpose of Reach for Change is to raise awareness about the Darfur genocide. We are asking you to color paper dolls which will be used as a visual aid to show the impact of the loss of so many lives. Our goal is to collect 400,000 paper dolls, representing the estimated 400,000 people who have died in the genocide so far. Please share this project with family, friends, and co-workers so that Darfur can be saved! . . . Also, as of right now, there is no deadline!"

Get your dolls!
Please download and print the doll template from this link:

This is a plea to all those able bodied people in West Michigan to come forward, join us, and keep the message out in front of the people of this state. We still have much work to do, many many ideas, but we need you to plan and carry them out. So please, please contact me ASAP so we can chat, and get together, and accomplish some more great things!
Plan A has miserably failed, we need to let President Bush know that it is time to put Plan B into action. Please go to the home page to sign the petition urging him to fulfill his promise to the people of Darfur !!! It's times like these we can let our voices be heard. We need to be the mosquito that can't be swatted away! Thank you everyone!!

www.sudanreeves.org - please go check out this massive wealth of information !!
Professor Eric Reeves has devoted over nine years - fulltime, to research, writings, and strong activism on the atrocities in Darfur and South Sudan. This has literally become his life's passion.
He is currently battling leukemia, and has since 2003 - yet his international fight continues amidst his internal fight with this disease.
Please check out this wonderful man's work/articles - he is an acclaimed author and has testified many times before Congress on the genocide ongoing.
He has been so kind in responding to many emails and has given us a personal statement to be read at our rally (I will save it until then).
Please pray for his health and continued work for the people of Sudan.
It's a shame that it takes celebrities to move the leaders in situations like this, but whatever it takes to stop the killing - go for it!
Here's an article I read this morning. Take a moment to read it... in times like these, I say "GO HOLLYWOOD"!! If there's anyway we could publicly thank them, let me know, and I'll do it! Sheila
Two U.S. photojournalists with StopGenocideNow.org have traveled to several refugee camps along the Chad/Darfur border to video tape personal stories of these refugees. To hear the stories directly from the refugees through i-ACT 2006 please visit: Link.

Please support i-ACT through the following campaigns:

1. i-ACT Extension: The photojournalist team is leaving behind communications equipment with refugees so our interaction continues even after they have left.

2. Camp Darfur: Invite i-ACT photojournalists, Gabriel and Stacey, to your school, college or other venue! They'll set up an interactive camp experience for you and your peers.

3. From America With Love: Record video messages for refugees like those you saw in Day 12 video. Invite Gabriel and Stacey to record your messages or make your own videos and send them to i-ACT!

Salaam,

Lisa
Fellow Members,
I have been working to form an alliance with ONE.org. I am sure that most of you are members of ONE already. Both Save Darfur and ONE's agenda is very similar and I think a coalition between the two would help consolidate and pool our resources to help bring an end to the genocide before it is too late. All of us hope that Darfur will not become the next Cambodia or Rwanda, etc, etc, and I think a partnership with ONE would raise awarness and donations if we worked together. We do not want to see a movie in 5 years from now starring Don Cheadle called " Hotel Darfur ", despite how good that movie was. This is a film we hope will never have to be made. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Save Darfur Members,
As most of you have probably read, the recent delegation to the Darfur/Chad region ended in disaster. The group was forced to flee after being attacked by the sudanese army or mercenaries. The mission was a complete failure. What should we do to respond to this feeble attempt at aid? Your ides greatly appreciated.
